how bad does having a torn pcv hose on a ls1 impact your gas mileage

so the reason i ask i becausei have an all stock ws6 all it has is exhaust and its giving me about 13-16 miles to the gallon and thats the only thing i see wrong wiht the car

A large tear/hole in the PCV line will cause a vacuum leak ... plus, the crankcase gasses will not be evacuated from the crankcase and that could cause contamination build up inside the motor.

oh thanks well actually the hose is torn in tow places and one of the places its torn at is 95 percent cut all the way thru

when mine was broken it absolutely no effect on my gas mileage. is that city or highway miles.

a vacuum leak throws off your AF ratio MAJOR..........expect sucky gas mileage........

I got 25 mpg, it's a pcv it is always a leak.

True ... but it's a metered "air leak"; unlike a leak that's taking in outside un-metered air.
