recently i noticed when im at a light i feel a tapping under my feet sometimes its hard smetimes its light but it bugs me. iv looked and the only thing possibly hitting is my headers but iv got out and looked while its hitting and the headers arent close. what else is under my feet that would hit? it feels like something spinning hits and goes away hits and goes away.

Do you have a cam? My driver side hits on either the k-member or a-arm.

Of course I have a cam... Lol jk it's stock. I have been under the car and don't see the ypipe move. But there is a part under the seat that is touching the body. It could be the ypipe hitting but wouldn't it hit in every gear instead of just drive? I'm going to jack it up tomorrow and look. Any other ideas?

i looked under when i got home and it was the ypipe hitting it.
what brace should i use? i think its the tunnel brace?? but its the one that goes across under the exhaust and driveshaft? i used my stock one and had to bend it to fit.

Can you clarify that or take a pic?
Is it the stock tunnel brace thats a foot or two behind the trans?
If it's what I'm thinking of I would just take it out, I hardly ever see any cars still with em.

Stock tunnel brace. I put it back on because my exhaust doesn't have any other support

LOL!

Maybe folding up a towel and ziptieing it to the tunnel brace might help until you can get your exhaust fixed

So I put a new alt on today and it stopped the ypipe from hitting. I was like umm ok?? Why would a bummed alt make the motor move and ypipe hit?
