Default Cooling......

My waterpump is leaking. After searching for 4 days on which pump to buy I decided to go with the stock gm waterpump. I'm replacing the hoses with Samco blue or black. I'm also looking at replacing the stock radiator with a Be Cool radiator. I want to do it all in one shot. My question is, is it worth it to go with the radiator or just stick with the stock one? I don't have overheating issues it's just if I'm going to do it, now is the time. The car is 98 camaro heads/cam car with 455rwhp.

Don't waste the money on the Be cool radiator. They are over rated in my opinion and I had a lot of problems with mine. I went back to a stock radiator and glad I did!

get a stock wp, Goodyear hoses and a LT1 radiator. done. cheap and long lasting and better than a lot of aftermarket setups as well.

Why are you even replacing the radiator? I can see the hoses if they feel bad but if the rad isn't leaking don't even mess with it IMO.

Just to do it while I had everything apart. Figured if I'm going turbo or nitrous later if I need the extra cooling then just do it now. But if I don't need to then that $450 will go twards my T56.

there are 600+hp FI cars running an LT1 radiator without issue. food for thought!
