02 auto z28 my 02 auto z28 has been making an obnoxious noise recently, when letting off the gas something gets louder, its almost like its fluttering, especially when the cruise is set, and you begin going downhill, it flutters like its sucking for air. had my uncle listen to it and he seems to think its the rear end. but if you put the car in neutral after letting off the gas, it seems to quiet.
the car has some road noise, but this is ridiculous. i would like to know what some experts think before i go putting a new rear end in
Please let me know your thoughts, or ask anything that i can clear up.

Mine was doing the same thing, on the highway letting off the gas slightly, it would make a terrible noise. Sounded like the transmission. It ended up being a broken valvespring that turned into a broken valve.
