Default oil pressure problem

I have a 2000 T/A and I run Royal Purple 5w-30, anyways I went to the local Wal-Mart and my oil pressure was fine. When I came out and started the car, I had 0 psi. I turned off the car and started it up again and my psi was reading normal. First time this has happened.

You don't have an oil pressure problem, you have an oil pressure sensor (or sensor wiring) problem.

Well I don't know about you but I'd want to verify proper oil pressure readings first. Did your engine start to make strange noises as if it had no oil? I've heard that before and it's a sound that's like fingernails on chalkboards to me...

everything sounded fine. and my gauge always says that it's running at around 58psi. even when my low oil light came on.
