alternator chirp

alternator chirp today i with some down time i had i replaced my old alt. my needle was all over the place. it sits steady now. i drove it about 5 miles to my girlfriends house and stayed for a few hours. it got cold outside and the alt started chirping. will this only happen for a little while for like a "break-in" period? it doesnt hurt anything im just picky about my car.

Mine used to do that when it got rebuilt and it would go away for a while but when i would rev to high rpm's the noise would come back. The alternator works perfectly but from time to time the noise will come back when ever i floor it or something. If i were you i would exchange it because the noise will probably come and go. It is also embarrasing at times at least to me ha ha.

its a reman. i wanted new but i didnt have time to wait on them to order it. ill see how it goes for a few days. is there something i can do to quiet it down? i spun it by hand to check it for any noises and it didnt make a sound.
