Default LS1 stock idle

What is the stock idle for a 1999 camaro ss. Its a 6spd! Mine is about 650ish when warm. Is that normal. The car kinda seems to have vibrations after it warms up.

No. The correct stock idle speed for all M6 LS1 F-bodies is 800rpm, per factory programming. The stock tachs are not perfect and may or may not show an accurate idle speed. A scanner can be used to verify accuracy of the tach.

Oh ok. I need to connect a scanner to see the actual rpms. The car feels fine until it warms and I hear like a fan turn off. Then the rpms drop a bit and the car is a little bit shakier. I want a scanner that reads rpms, misfires, pretty much everything. What do you guys recommend?

I dunno about M6s but autos are 600 in park and 550 in-gear. Manuals are about 100 higher I believe.

No, that is not normal. It should be 800, if the stock tuning is still in place. As I stated above, don't trust the stock tach - hook up a scanner if you want to be 100% sure. I'm still using an old version of AutoTap from about 10 years ago on a laptop from about 15 years ago...they both still work, so I just keep using them.

A4: 650rpm in park/neutral, 550rpm in gear
M6: 800rpm
