Default Several Problems here, hoping for some ideas.

Got several things I'm going to ask about here rather than just posting a bunch of different threads.

1. My oil pressure is a little on the low side i believe. I know it could be the pressure sending unit. But I just want to see what other people think about it. Warm idle the pressure drops down to 20-25 PSI. It goes up as rpm goes up and it also seems to bounce as well.

2. I believe I have some rear end whine, but I was wondering if it could possibly be wheel bearings. Not very much at lower speeds, but once i hit up around 50 it gets to be a steady whirring noise.

3. Car bounces going down the freeway. I don't expect a cadillac, but it just feels like the rear end is hopping. Wondering if it could be due to a bad torque arm mount rubber bushing thing?

4. When the car does a cold start, it makes a weird noise. I don't think it is piston slap, and i'm not sure if it did it before i put on my manual belt tensioner. So that could be the issue?

Thank you to anyone who has encountered these and might be able to help me out.

1. My car was the same, I switched to a thicker/heavier oil and it seemed to help a bit, but I don't trust my gauge either its kinda erratic. See if you can get one of those mechanical gauges on it maybe? Give you a better idea. If it really bothers you, just do a new oil pump.

2. Same as my car, I'm gonna change the gear oil and try that first, then wheel bearings would be next.

3. What shocks? Stock? Lowered? Plenty of good deals for shock/spring combos out there that will perform better in every aspect and even ride better than stock.

4. Not sure on that one, belt/pulley squeak or power steering maybe? Is it straining or pulsing with RPM? I put a new belt on my car and my pulsing squeak went away, but now its come back, going to try to regrease a few idler pulleys and take off the AC belt to try to narrow it down, or my PS pump or rack.

changed oil already. Didn't help so it may be the bearings.

Stock shocks and all, got some new ones coming hopefully.

i got a new belt and manual tensioner. maybe i should try greasing pulleys and all.

I had a pretty bad whine from my rearend. I changed the carrier and axle bearings, and it took care of the problem. Cost about 80 dollars.

Buy them and have someone do it for you if you're not able to do it yourself.

The belt issue seems to be one of the pulleys not doing its job. What are some common pulley issues? The power steering pulley has some side to side play in it.

I would think the power steering pulley would be quiet noisy if that is the case, heard about a guy having a belt squeak he couldn't ID, turned out to be the PS pump or something not in line with the rest of the system.

I took my belt off and spun the pulleys, they should be smooth as glass.
2 of my idlers sounded like crunching rocks lol.
Going to try to repack them with grease.

as long as its not below 10 psi your fine. and fyi those oil pressure guages are junk and innacurate. i guarantee if you buy an autometer youll see a difference. also piston slap is normal in ls1s. donot let it bother you when i start my car i turn my radio up alittle for the first 5 mins of driving.

For the oil pressure it is most likely main bearings

Sounds like the ps pump bearing out. how much play in it though. The bouncing does it go away at slow speeds shakeing the seat or kinda like it is floating

My gauge was doing the same thing and I hooked up a mechanical one to make sure it was ok. It was so I capped that port and replaced the oil sending unit and now its right where its supposed to be. Id try that before anything else. Took me 5 min with the intake on to replace the sending unit.

So my water pump pully is very wobbling, I have no leaks but I'm afraid that might be what is causing the belt to walk.

if the water pump pulley is moving around, that is a problem. they should spin with a little drag and not move.

I regreased my idlers and mine still ******* squeaks =/

Sounds like its coming from the right idler/PS/Waterpump area, but right in the middle so I can't ID it lol.

Car has new belt, AC belt is off.

get a mechanics stethoscope and see if you can't pinpoint it.

Put on a waterpump and it seems like that has fixed it. In other news I looked and my torque arm bolt was not even tightened up, think that might have affect my ride quality.
