Default does your tac "lag"

i just b ought a 2000 ss, and the tach seems to be a little laggy......my 98 didnt have this issue, but then again, the tach in that read 200 too high,........but in this ss, say you rev it too like 3000 in neautral, id say the rpms climb 2-300 before the tach begins to raise....is this normal

I have never seen one that is accurate. They pretty much all lag. Invest in a shift light like the raptor.

not picking on you or anyone else, while our gauges may not be the most accurate especially with age, at least we have them. i have owned cars with idiot lights, and the name is appropriate for the most part since they usually came on when it was too late.

yea id def rather have ours over not having one at all.......lol my 1990 wrangler i used to have had a up and down arrows telling you went to shift up/down......pretty stupid really
