I know I know do a search and well I did and I found one thread with the same symptoms but different outcome. Ok...what I can do is jump the starter relay and it will crank and run soooooooo I found the yellow/black stripe wire under the under hood fuse box I grounded it to the body and still will not crank with the key. What am I missing?

did this just start with the install of the new engine? have you been driving it, before this happened? does this car still have the little black chip in the key? or any form of anti-theft?

Yes it just started with the install I drove the donor car around for a couple of months before striping it it still has the vats but I bypassed the bcm so its not the vats its got to be something I am missing. Also I did check all the grounds so that's not it.

if you've got an auto trans, check your wiring to the neutral safety switch. to the clutch safety switch if it's a manual.

check starter relay in the power juntion box, fuses etc. you're right. when you find it, you're probably gonna bang your head on the wall. i know. i've missed simple things before. lolol
