Default Fighting a oil leak

we saw it coming from the top of the motor and it wasnt the opsu. Looked to be the valley cover gaskets and knock sensor seals. We replaced those and it stopped most of the leak. There was still a few drops on the floor this morning. 2 questions. The first. I drove the car about 30 miles since we replaced the seal. Could this still be runoff that we couldnt have gotten to like iside the bellhousing? Second, I pulled the 2 side covers so I could look into the bellhousing and see the flywheel. The flywheel was dry. That means chances are its not a rear main or rear seal leaking correct?

Sorry I can't be much help, I've never had one leak from the top of the motor. Are you sure you don't have a bad valve cover gasket that was leaking down into the intake manifold and running down the back of the motor?

The rear main would have leaking fluid directly where the engine and Trans meet. Second most common spot is the oil pan gasket

Best of luck
