Head light ???
Head light ??? Hi guys
I need some help. I believe I have some sort of wiring problem. So a little back ground....I have a 98 Pontiac TA A4 3that's been converted to a. M6 ( I paid a shop to do the change) everything worked as it should ....about 3 yrs later my firewall cracked. Now the firewall is fixedly , car is running but...now I have some issues and could use input...
1. Rear turn signals work / not the front.
2. Hazard lights work in bacbk / not in front
3. Front park/ turn signal light do not come on until I turn on the head light switch.
4. The low beam lights come on when I cut on the park light
5. The low beam light goes off when I switch on the high beam ( the lights are in the park light position )
6. Turn the switch to cut on the light on ( head lamps pop up ) as stated above the low beams are already on . Switch to high beams and there is no change . No high beams . The indicator light is on for high , but no light.
So , anyone have any idea of what may be the problem ?

First off, what are the conditions of the front turn signal/DRL bulb sockets? Are they good or burned and possibly shorted as is common? These are easy to replace. But it sounds like your head lights are involved too.
Second, where did your firewall crack? Was it near any places where the wiring harness passes through the firewall? If yes, check for a short or cut wires there. Did someone screw up the wiring while repairing the firewall?

The conditions of the front turn signal/DRL bulb sockets are good not burned , I replaced them motto long ago and put in LED switch backs . The originals were dark brown / burnt looking.... I had one turn signal to work and the others is not
Thatis when I replaced both sockets. My head lights are involved too, they have never came on when I only place the switch in park lamp. Also my headlamps have never cut off then on by switching the high low beam .
The firewall crack was around the two bolt holes for the master cylinder. No wiring harness passes through the firewall.
