No-Start Annoyances
Okay, so yesterday, I pull the optispark to replace the cap and rotor. Get the opti off and oil comes pouring out of it. I figured that might have been part of my problem with it missing some the past few weeks and then not starting at all on Friday. So I pull it apart, clean it up, put it back together w/ new cap and rotor, put it back on, reattach plug wires, all in right spot and securely snugged. Turn it over, doesn't start.
Has new ignition coil, wires, NGK Iridium plugs, etc. Pull the wire from the coil off the opti and hold it up to the block while it gets cranked. No spark. Pull the plugs out and take a look. Look good but slight smell of fuel on the end. Check my harnesses and I've got proper voltage and continuity to ground for the plug going into my ICM, Opti, and Coil. So I'm thinking it's the optical sensor. How do I check for flashing ground on one of the injector harnesses, and can it be done w/ a multimeter?
