made some changes, made some new noises
made some changes, made some new noises we, i installed 4.10 gears about month ago. put all new bearings, seals, the works. they are set to spec (with +/- .001 off) for play on the ring and pinion. i put over 500 miles on it, and it still whines on decel 
. anything i can do to quiet it down some? i know some gears are just loud, anyone have a trick or somethin? thicker gear fluid?
my other new noise, i made my own true duals, custom x pipe, magnaflow mufflers (round case) dumped. i have clearance between the pipes and the floorboard thanks to alil hammering, but the passenger side rear still rattles and drives me nuts. i guess i could always hammer some more
. has anyone used exhaust wrap on the piping to deaden the sound? for when it would hit the floor or that heat shield stuff that you can peel and stick to the floor?
