So I have a 2004 Silverado 1500 with a 5.3 engine. I replaced the fuel cap and evap vent solinoid and still the light comes on. What else could it be I dont have a fancy $10000 scanner and hate to take it to a shop for some stupid emission problem. Any thoughts?

im not familiar with that truck but if its emission i wouldnt worry. I have all the emissions crap of my car. If you dont have to have emission checked just leave it

only other thing you can replace, and it sucks because this is a dart, is the purge valve up on the engine, ive seen them leak evap. and itll set a light, if that dont do it, youve got a line or your sending unit seal is leaking, and youll more then likley need a shops diagnosis for that.
