Default Battery going dead overnight???

I have a buddy that has a 96 Z28. He was driving the car and it caught on fire (electrical) under the steering wheel... He had to replace the ignition due to some burnt wires, and ever since he fixed it, the battery will drain overnight. He replaced the battery and alternator.. What could cause the drain? Any help would be appreciated.

I would have to say its a dead shorted wire or open relay. The fire could have melted or exposed some wiring. Its most likely something that is not fused. I would do a parasitic/key off drain test and see how big the draw is. Check youtube for test instructions.
