"Low Oil" Light
I had this problem with my 98, from cold the light would stay on. If I started the car, warmed it up, then turned off the engine, locked it, unlocked it, turned the engine on again the light would disappear. So this is is what I had to do because I didn't want the light to be on whilst I was driving incase at any point the oil really did become low and then I wouldn't know.
An interesting event happened last week though, the key must have had some dirt on it and the car did not recognise the chip so it went into security lock down. I researched the problem, gave the key and barrel a clean and it was fine. Now ever since then the oil light is on at the lights stage and then goes out when the engine turns on, just like it is supposed to do!
Spooky and what a result so the whole thing has worked out great for me.
I am not sure how you can induce a security lock down on purpose but if there is a way then it worked for me.
Thanks
