To make a long drawn out story short I have an F1R kit with LESS than 500 miles on the kit and engine. The Head unit is pouring oil out of the belt drive shaft. Procharger wants $500 to mess with it and refuses to warranty it whatsoever because it a couple of days past the year warranty. Normally I wouldnt complain but we had to spend 9 months and 3 different performance shops trying to alter Prochargers garbage brackets before the car would even keep a belt on it. Of course they accepted absolutely no responsibly for any issue and told me til I put a laser on it there was nothing that could be done. After using a laser tool on it and seeing that the brackets were not only off but the 8 rib kit pulleys for the alternator and PS pump they sent me were also the wrong offset as well and they continue to brush me off and refuse to do anything about it. After having another shop machine all parts and me having to buy a cartek flip drive kit the damn head unit is bleeding like a stuffed pig!
To anyone buying a kit for a Vette at least I urge you to reconsider and go Vortech because Procharger will refuse to stand behind the products they sale. After spending $7500 on their kit youd think that they would be willing to at least offer some responsibility for these problems. WRONG! After a last ditch effort to call PC I was informed that F series blowers HAVE NO WARRANTY AT ALL. So they basically sell you a boxed up piece of **** and tell you good riddance. This is the last time I deal with these people and will do my absolute best to spread the word so the next guy doesnt have to go down this road.
Does anyone know a shop that can inspect and replace some seals in an F1R Procharger head unit other than PC?
