split oil pan any ideas why i wake up one morning and my oil pan has a crack from one side to the other? has cracked ls1 oil pans been an issue for anyone? my car hasn't moved in 3 years. it looks like it split in 2 peices. the car is an 02 ss m6. thanks for any help.
But either way....very strange. Never heard of one splitting like that. Never even heard of one getting a crack in it under normal conditions.
I just had mine welded because I had a crack, it was maybe 3 inches long on the passenger side. But a rod broke in my engine at 160-170mph and caused it.......lol
