Electrical Short??
The Issue:
In the morning, when I pull into the parking garage at work,I push the power window button and usually let the window go all the way down automatically. I swipe my pass card, and then power the window back up. About half the time, as soon as I push the power window button to put the window back up my speakers cut out! The deck stays powered and my subwoofer/amp remains on, so basically I am playing nothing but bass! If I turn the radio off and then back on the speakers and everything comes back to normal.
That's all...Window operates fine every time.
Extra Info:
Power windows are factory, never had any trouble with them in the 5+ years I've owned the car. Deck is aftermarket (Pioneer), all speakers are aftermarket (assorted brands...previous owner installed), I also have a Rockford Fosgate amp (351 rms) and a 10' infinity amp (in one of those stealth boxes), amp is not tied into the speakers.
I figure the window switch (or mechanism?) is somehow shorting out the speaker circuit? The deck must have a bypass or something that it's tripping?
I guess my big question is; Does anyone have any idea where the most likely location of this short is?? or how would I go about tracing this short?
