I noticed the other day, since it's starting to get cold out here, that when I start up my 01 t/a, the clutch is engaging nearly right on the floor. After warming up and driving a bit, the engagement point is about halfway up, where it normally is. Is this normal? Today i almost couldnt get it into gear. Had the clutch/slave/master all replaced about 2 years ago. Ive noticed that this only happens when it gets cold out. Could it be the fluid has to circulate more with viscosity?
I'm having the same issue, mainly when it's cold. I had the issue last year and replaced all the mechanical parts (clutch, master, slave, etc), but now the problem is back since it's getting cold again. Any suggestions?
have you checked the fluid?
i had a similar problem.....mine would seem to loose pressure if you left the pedal pushed in, say while stopped in traffic. the pedal would release the clutch right off the floor, then get hung up halfway.
i replaced my master and wrapped the line with 1200* heat tape and both sides of the aluminum heat shield and its been great since.
every couple of months i still replace all the fluid in the little cup using the "Ranger" method.
