Power window motors the same?
Can't imagine how it would. It does not give the motor super strength or anything. If a track breaks after doing it then it would have broken putting a new motor in it so it was on its last leg anyways.
Buy two new motors from some local place that stocks them, and have a lifetime warranty.
Install the motors, and be ready to do it again every other year.

There are places that make a kit that "fixes" the wiring problem, that would be a root cause fix.
