Default inefficient CAT code

The reason it's throwing the code is obvious, but I'm just wondering if the fact the light is on is telling the comp to hinder the car in anyway?

Nope, I had the codes deleted and the rear 02s turned off. Its mostly BS because if the cats fall below 100% the light comes on.

I tried clearing the codes with a hand held code reader but they came back right away. Do I need a tuner to be able to permanently turn off the o2 and clear the code?

Ya need HP tuners or pay someone to do it. Could send it to one of the tuners on this board like Frost and get it tuned out too.

Depending on what your state does for emissions testing, this may not get you to pass. You might actually have a bad cat.
