low coolant light

Default low coolant light

it has been a bit cold in St.louis lately and i went out last night and started my car and the low coolant light came on and i have already check the coolant and it was fool and it still say rated to -30. so I'm thinking the sensor any one else have this problem

Probably so. Same thing happened with my low oil light. Turned out one of the wires broke off the sensor. I just soldered it back n weatherproofed it. Problem solved

I have had this happen to me, mine was due to the stock power steering cooler breaking and mixing with my coolant, which then gummed up the sensor.

I just unplugged mine in the end, one day I'll buy a new sensor off rockauto haha.

i figured as much they don't sell the sensors at advance or auto zone

They still have them available on RockAuto, for around $34.79.

I remember when I started a thread for the low coolant sensor and someone chimed in saying it that light had saved them before so they recommended it.
