Default Steering wheel not aligned

I tried searching through threads, but wasn't sure how to word my problem.

i recently had a family friend do some work on my 96 z28. he dropped the k member to install the LT's and when he hooked everything back up the steering wheel was no longer centered. 10 and 2 hand positions became 1 and 5 to drive in a straight line.

So what is the best/easiest way to fix this? do i need to drop the motor/k member...the whole 9 yards or can i just unbolt the steering universal, pull it apart and align it properly? Is the pictured universal where i could disconnect the steering?
(Not my Image)

Thanks guys

It may be a pain, but you'll have to straighten the wheels, and disconnect the steering shaft from the rack and rotate it until it's straight. Reassemble, test drive and adjust again as needed.

Good info. Would you know if that would also go for like almost any vehicle after it gets aligned? My 2010 Sierra's steering wheel is more to the right.

if the wheel is off center after an alignment the wheel wasnt put back to center during the toe adjustment. take it back to the shop that did it and make em fix it
