Broke my throttle cable tabs...

Broke my throttle cable tabs... Hi everyone,
I've been doing some cleaning on my engine along with plugs n wires and I broke the tabs on my throttle cable...
I have a 99, and I've been having a hard time finding cables for a 99 Trans Am WITH Traction Control
After going through tons of ebay ads, ls1tech threads, etc. I keep seeing mine looks like an 00-02 cable... It has the red piece at the end of it.
I still see tons of 00-02 cables for sale and have read I can swap directly to a 00-02 throttle body + cable.
Can someone confirm for me all of this + show me the differences possibly?

the cable is about an inch longer on the exposed end and requires a different hook up spot on the throttle body, that is the only difference (from what i am aware of), this is why aftermarket throttle bodys have two spots to connect to

Well, I had to drive my car to work and saw the last tab had broken.
Everything seemed alright on the way TO work, but when I was leaving and got in the car, the moment I tapped the gas after putting it into drive it shot to 1100rpm and I had to limp her home that way...
Does anyone know of an alternative method to keep the TCS/Cruise Control?...
I'll switch to a 00-04 Throttle body and get a newer cable if I have to, but eventually those will be discontinued and out of stock too....
Anyone have any ideas? :\
