Default No injector pulse... need help!

A friend of mine has a 98 Camaro 3.8 car. They bought it not running. Someone had started changing intake gaskets. Well in the midst of all that my friend went ahead and pulled the motor and changed head gaskets, oil pan gasket, everything. Now that the cars back together hes not getting injector pulse. He sparyed starting fluid in it and it will hit a few times but never start. Hes got fuel pressure and spark just no pulse. The security light comes on for about 3 seconds when you turn the key on but goes out like normal. Got any ideas why hes not getting any pulse? Thanks

Check the INJ1 fuse under the hood, its a 15amp fuse. That supplies the injectors with B+ and the PCM fires them off the ground side. I would start there.

Go ahead and check the crankshaft sensor also. I had a momentary lapse of mental stability.

Have you verified 12volts at the injectors? Do you have access to a scanner?
Check for codes and that both the 3x and 18x sensors on the crankshaft are working.
There's actually two cranks sensors in one.

If you have access to a scanner see if its showing RPM's when you are cranking. If it doesn't either the sensor is bad, not hooked up or open/grounded circut.
