Hatch not shutting

A few days ago i went to shut the hatch on my 99 TA and it just bounced right back up. It seems as though the latch is stuck in the locked postion and I can't get it to open up to atleast shut the hatch till i can fix it. I've tried searching fro teh NP for the latch btu i cant find that either. Is there another way too open the hatch other than the button and the key, and where could i find the PN for a new latch? TIA

Use the key to hold it unlocked, and use your finger or a screwdriver to move the latch mechanism back to open.

Sounds weird but, roll down your windows and try to shut it... Mine bounces back when the windows are up.

I used a flathead to wiggle the latch and it locked again.

This; same thing happened with my door, and I just pulled the handle open and used a pen to flip it back to the open position!
