Ls1 radiator same as a v6?
Ls1 radiator same as a v6? So i have a small leak in my 02 radiator, was gonna try u pull it but looks like all they have are v6 cars. Do lt1 radiators fit in ls1 cars?
93-97 there was a radiator difference between the LT1 and the V6 cars (V6 was smaller), but 98-02 the v6 cars got an upgrade to the same radiator the LS1 uses from what I understand.
I'd throw the LT1 (V8) radiator in there. There's a couple of holes you have to plug but the radiator is thicker, meaning it cools the coolant better. In addition, the LT1 radiator is cheaper than the LS1 radiator and you can find write-ups galore on here.

I just stripped a 1998 Firebird and took pics of the Firebird rad vs a 1998 Camaro SS I have at another location in the middle of a engine rebuild. The pics I took, the rads look the same. So does AC evaporator or condenser, I mix those up, The part that goes in front of the rad. The lower air box also looks the same to me. I think the upper is different. V6 is a smaller pipe to the TB and it's not straight like the LS1. Baffle setup is different too. I wish I had compared the fans too. Anyone know if the fans are also the same? I was expecting it all to not be compatable based on what I knew about 3rd gens V6 compared to V8. Over 30 yrs since I wrenched on one of those.
