Default LS1 erg connection to LS6 manifold

i have an 1998 z28 that i have from my dad ( he passed away in feb. ).
i've been told by the mechanic who worked on the car, that the engine is
an LS6 ( not original engine ). the erg assembly appears to be stock.
the problem i just noticed is the hose connection that goes behind the
throttle body, has no provision for this hose.
currently, it just sits behind tbi.
any thoughts on what needs to be done with connection? i also have CEL
that comes up as P0442. this refers to the evap recirculation system.
i'll take any suggestions that you might have.
thanks, chris

The LS6 no longer used the EGR, get rid of it and delete the code through a tune.

I put a Z06 intake on mine about twelve years ago. I cut out the hose mount from my old intake and bonded it into the Z06 intake with JB Weld, then drilled a hole in the new intake.
