New ACDelco 88960088 motor is $28 shipped from Amazon. Others like to go with aftermarket Dorman. Either way, it's not a bad fix.

Wow, id buy you a beer if I could. You just saved me a ton of money- the last time I priced window motors (my passenger's side one is dead) Adavanced / Autozone and whatnot wanted 90$. As much shopping as I do on Amazon, I never once thought to check them for automotive parts.

Check the switch first and work your way from there, most likely a window motor but never assume a problem, always diagnose it first to make sure what you are replacing is the problem.

i looked at autozone online, and a motor is $48... i was expecting around $100. i'll look in detail saturday since it's my day off. i'll run 12 volts through the motor while i have the door panel off.

You don't want a Delco motor... Its a design that was first put on cars in the 1960's!

Dorman offers a 100% new motor with an upgraded design and components. That's the way you want to go. There are lots of threads on the motor and this broader problem...

Dorman 742-101 is the one you're referring to correct?

the one i bought from autozone has a lifetime warranty....which is great since these cars are notorious for them burning out!

I buy all of my ACDelco stuff from Amazon. They're even cheaper than Rock Auto.

I've never had an issue with ACDelco stuff, but I understand how many feel the "upgraded" Dorman may be enticing. I say upgraded loosely as I haven't ever investigated it. May be from the 60's, but I find more utility in sticking with OE when I can.

I had the same view up until I burned up my 6th AC Delco motor.
