car sputters at first start and under acceleration
car sputters at first start and under acceleration ok, so i parked the car about five months ago. i would start the car periodically. about a month ago the car battery died. I hadnt gotten around to recharging it until now. put some new fuel in the car and went to start it, but when i started it, it sputtered for a second and regained itself. idled fine until it warmed up, but when i went to accelerate it, it just bogged down again and wanted to die on me. Any ideas on what could be wrong? I'll also add that it smelled like something was burning around the engine. car ran fine when i parked it.
I installed new plugs about a month before I parked it. I double checked my fluids this morning, primed the car a few times and started it again. This time no sputtering, but the burning smell is still there and it's idling at 600rpm as opposed to 900 where it usually is. I figure ill drive it around town for a bit and see if anything happens.
