98 TA problems...
98 TA problems... Just got the car on the cheap. It's only got 80K miles on it, but it misfires and runs like ****. Not drivable.
I popped in 2 new front 02 sensors, a new alternator and plugs and wires.
Had bad gas in it so I got it all out and put in fresh gas after cleaning the tank.
had the fuel pump tested and it looked like it was only putting out about 35lbs of pressure so we cleaned the sock on the original one and figured we'd try it out again since it was so dirty with shmeg from the tank... still ran like crap.
I will be testing the pressure again when I can after the weekend (have to borrow the thing to test it)
A friend of mine suggested that it could be the crank position sensor causing it to run like it does. Has anyone on here had problems from the crank sensor? It would be pretty cool if that was the problem since the part is pretty cheap and relatively easy to swap out....
Any advice would be greatly appreciated. This is my first LS1 car and I am dying to get this bastard on the road.
