Broken/cracked fuel lines
After trying to be careful while removing the filter, the line broke.
I had it towed to a shop because I don't have the time or a lot of know how to fix the fuel lines.
My issue now is that the shop found the "L" shaped fuel line connector near the fuel filter is also cracked. They can't find a replacement, and say the part has been discontinued. I now have been without my car for 3 weeks.
I live in Hawaii, and I am stationed on a ship that goes to sea frequently. Used parts out here are really scarce. I really could use some help trying to locate this "L" shaped fuel line connector that connects near the fuel filter. Do I even need it? Does it provide some sort of safety feature or special function?
Any help/info/advice would be greatly appreciated!
