cleaning block with internals still in
Im doin an ls swap in my truck. I have block apart but dont really wanna take the internals out. Is there a good safe way to clean the inside of the block without takin it apart. I dont want to damage the bearings or anything. Or would a good engine flush do the job once its back together. Any help would be great.

Anyway......I'd use this opportunity to install new bearings throughout......
But you need to clean it with oil included with any engine cleaner you use. Do not rotate the assembly without adequate oil mixed in. You could use an engine primer I guess.
But if it doesn't look all visually gunned up.....just wait till its back in the car and running. Then do a good flush.
