Bent spindle, (knuckle)

Bent spindle, (knuckle) Whacked a curb the other day and it threw my camber off to -1.7deg from -.02deg on the passenger side. Could only be corrected to -0.9ded after alignment so something got tweaked. I did a bunch of measurements and came to the spindle/knuckle conclusion. Measured from frame, shock to frame, shock to spindle, spindle to frame, inside tire to upper balljoint, disc to spindle, disc to upper spindle, and all seem to prove the spindle is bent. Everything else seems to check out. It really doesn't make sense given the physical stress this piece would be leveraged by. Are these typically weak???

When I first bought my TA a few years ago, I couldnt get the camber on the pass side to go higher than -1.5. I did pretty much the same thing you desribed. So I bought a spindle off ebay and was able to set back where I wanted it.
I dont know how weak/strong they are, but mine was bent so its possible yours is too.

Thanks, I found a local yard that has one. Hopefully Ill have it on today. I should be able to tell by the eye considering they maxed out pos camber. I just hope the hub bearing on the junk piece hammers out as easy as mine did. Lots of pb blaster and a heavy slide hammer should work. Thanks again, I just don't want to get it all back together and realize I need to pull the upper arm or a-arm. That would be no fun in 15deg weather. I guess these are a weak point in our suspension.
