Default any damage?

my friend has a 2000 Camaro Z28, he was drinking bottled water and had to abruptly stop and he got water on top of the airbag cover, (insert facepalm) he got everything dried as best he could, when he turned the steering wheel, water came out of it apparently theres a small gap between the airbag and the steering wheel. It seems to drive fine no problems yet. Anyone think anything could have been damaged?

An airbag module in the steering wheel is sealed up pretty well, if the airbag light didn't come on I'm sure its just fine.

It's fine. I had a buddy who passed out drunk one night with his convertible top down on hs fbody, rained the entire night and he drove it home the next day like nothing happened.

Granted it dried itself out nearly instantly the next day because it was during summer but was perfectly fine
