Complete loss in power
So i have noticed that my car no longer has any *** for the past month. it is not throwing any codes so i pulled the plugs and they are yellow. looked it up and its caused by a temperature change due to hard acceleration. so my question is if anyone else has experienced this and if anyone has any input. obviously the plugs need to be changed even though they only have 4k on them. but could i need a re-tune or is this a problem with my fuel system??? thanks for any advice

where are you getting your gas at? . Lead fouling usually shows up as yellowish deposits on the spark plug’s nose. Lead fouling can also cause your engine to misfire at high-rpm and under hard acceleration.

I usually get my gas at quik trip(which guarantees their gas) with 93 octane. No one around here has leaded gas. It doesn't feel like it's misfiring it just seems like a slouch. I also read it might be that I need colder plugs can u agree with that?

it just seems odd that it was running fine then not, What plugs do you have in there and do you know what your fuel trims are reading? Also clean your MAF sensor with some maf cleaner if you havent. Mine was dirty and it ran like a dog and after i cleaned it was night and day difference

I'm running ngk tr55 I believe. I have never cleaned my maf however it's only 2 years old. And I don't really know how to read fuel trims. How do u do that?

try cleaning you MAF i do mine every oil change or every other oil change it doesnt take much to make it read wrong, all you need to read you fuel trims is a scan tool that reads live data

not a problem man yep they are read in percentages you will have a
short term fuel trim (ST FT) and long term fuel trim (LT FT) for bank 1
short term fuel trim (ST FT) and long term fuel trim (LT FT) for bank 2
and you want your fuel trims as close to zero as possible on both banks ide say anything between -5 to 5 is alright ive seen some with that have had higher numbers and ran fine but ideally you want them as close to 0 as possible.
if you have higher numbers in the + it is wanting more gas (because its running lean)
If you have low numbers in the - it is wanting less gas (because its running rich)
both banks should should be reading almost identical to one another if you are getting a different numbers on both banks you might have a catalytic converter or 02 sensor going out or some other issue
