Someone on here posted how they wrapped a new plastic deck lid with some kind of strong vinyl, held on buy spray on epoxy or some kind of adhesive.......should last very long that way. Looked factory too.

Is that a guillotine? I have always been under the impression that pad was designed to break “harmlessly” if the firewall is back pushed in a collision.

It's only .025" thick and bolts to the main dash bar. It'll fold. But, in my case, it would have to cut through the chromoly 10pt cage first.
