98 Formula; multiple issues
Hey guys, I have some issues that I am trying to get worked out with my bird.
-Cluster has LEDs missing and the h20 temp/oil pressure/battery gauge are out of wack. I was thinking that the first move would be to get a new cluster to see what is actually not working (sensor wise) I got a 99+ and I didnt realize that it is not compatible. Can I use a 98 V6 or does it have to be a V8 model?
With non fuctioning gaugues, I used my ScanGuage II to check things out. My cruise temp at 75mph is 225-230. I believe that this is way too high. I also found that there is a loose wire on my fans hooked to the fuse block, very ghetto.

The v6 cluster panel only goes up to 120 mph while the v8 goes up to 160 mph. I would guess it needs to be a v8 cluster.
As far as the fans, I think they kick on at about 220 degrees, so the temp gauge shouldn't get much hotter than that.
