Default PLEASE HELP, STARTER PROBLEM,click,click,click,click,click

I have a 98 camaro with 2 red top 800cca batterys located in back, 4/0 gauge through master kill switch, to starter, 1/0 from battery to block for ground.
1/0 from starter to main relay box. 4gag from alternator to main relay.

every time i start the car the starter will hit like 10-15 (very fast click) times then finally engage and start...

i have tried bypassing the master switch, i just installed 4/0 thinking voltage drop from the cable length, just added the seconded battery....

I just drop damn near $500 on this stuff and still does it!!!!!!
please help

Is your kill switch in the line of the main power to the starter from the battery, or the small wire to the starter solenoid?

If it is in the main run, I'd wager that your switch is the culprit. That is a LOT of amps that the starter pulls and most switches won't be able to handle that much current very well at all. Kill switch should be on the smaller wire.

Aside from that, it could be simply a bad starter.
