Default Fuse to Fuel sending unit??

ok so my camaro has been sitting for a couple months now and when i went to move it i noticed the battery was dead and while it was charging i threw in 5 gallons of gas. When it finally started the gas guage was pegged on E. this has never happened before and im wondering if their is a fuse that i might have blown? has anyone experienced this before and if so what was the fix(assuming most will be the sending unit itself). With me being away at school i cant exactly just go and look. i have tried to search the topic but id prefer to check a fuse first before i go checking my harness and pulling my gas tank... thanks in advance for your input

Do you get the "check gauges" light as well? I know there is an instruments fuse but not one specifically for fuel level. If you are not getting the "check gauges" light indicating you have low fuel it might be the stepper motor in the cluster that took a dump. Its common on these years from GM.
