harmonic balancer bad ?

I just replaced my power steering pump and alternator . Now I get this loud squeal on start up . After 3 miles of driving it goes away . It sounds like it's coming from the harmonic balancer .

does it wobble? could be a bad belt, squeaking a/c tensioner (very likely) or a misalignment of the power steering pump or alternator you just installed. was it there before those two things got replaced

Squealing can be the cause of many things. Watch the balancer with the engine running and look for any wobble. You could have an idler going bad (you have 2 if you have AC).

Will the idler wobble if it is bad ?
