MSD wires causing overload?

MSD wires causing overload? I swapped my wires a couple of weeks ago with the MSDs. They're pretty low resistance. Last week my alternator output dropped below 12v when on the highway. It went back up to 13v when RPMs were under 2k. I was glad I was in rush hour traffic at that time. So I swapped the alternator yesterday and drove it around town with no issues.
Today my 6 months old main belt either broke or slipped off. I had my car towed in to work and the driver actually stopped at a parts store so that I could get a belt.
Has anyone had any electrical issues after installing MSD wires?

only static on AM/FM radio and hearing the hiss vary with engine rpm. that was like 10 years ago, i ending up swapping in one msd wire at a time with the oem plug wires to find the culprit. turned out i had 3 bad ones. i found that when having a multimeter on them measuring resistance, if i slightly bend the wire on the bad ones that the resistance would vary. the good wires i could twist them and see no change on the meter.

Shouldn't be related. I use MSD on everything without issues unless they get damaged. Bad spark plug wires cause engine related issues.
Also your dash gauge isn't too accurate. Buy one of those digital cigarette liter volt meters to monitor your exact voltage to see what it shows if the problem shows back up.
And since your alternator got swapped you should be good.
