Once you have tinnitus - not matter how you get it - loud exhaust systems can be torment. I was at a friend's ranch when another friend brought a bunch of guns over. I hadn't planned on shooting and ear protection never crossed my mind - until it was too late. A year later and it's about 80% better, but I bought a Dual/Dual because even my mild ORY/Maxflow setup was punishing. My symptoms improved over time and I never installed it.
OP, a lot of guys have found the Magnaflow 14419 the perfect solution to the LM1 problem. It's an inexpensive fix, and that's what I would do before considering investing in a more expensive setup
