AC Block Off Plates

I'm not sure if this is the correct section I am posting in so sorry in advance if it's not.

My compressor is leaking and I am in the middle of an engine/transmission build so I was thinking of just leaving it off when I put it back in the car so I can drive it asap and then put one on later along with new o rings for the lines and everything. My question is if there's any plates that get put on in place of where the lines go? Or a different solution? Thanks

Just cap them with rubber vacuum caps

For some reason I thought they were flat surfaces where the lines bolt onto. Do they protrude out to put a vacuum cap on? Like the condenser?

I took everything out except for the evaporator which has two ports that I stuck rubber caps on
