Cold Clutch Slip??
Looking for any knowledge or advice with the issue i'm having.
2000 Camaro SS SLP
Replaced clutch with perfection clutch at 20k miles.
Currently have 60k miles on the car.
So, recently when I've been getting in the car at the beginning of the day I notice that i'm getting a chatter or slipping feeling in the first few shifts. Usually around 2000 rpm mark. I baby it for the first few mins and then it goes back to completely normal shifting. I'm stumped!
Clutch fluid is dark, could it be too thick when starting?
Flywheel glaze?
Could it be the pressure plate?
Slave cylinder going?
Anyways, only thing I can think of is just replacing all of that within the bell housing.
Monster stage 1 clutch or ram clutch?
Thanks for any information you can provide.

Could be a lot of things, that's the problem. Slipping is either a friction issue or a lack of return force issue. That would sort of indicate pressure plate or friction disc. I have no experience with "perfection" clutches. Do they have a 40K lifespan?
The only way I can imagine it being a hydraulic issue is if the restrictor orifice in the line is blocked with crud from old, decrepit clutch fluid, and not letting the fluid pass, but then as the car warms up and the fluid thins, it finishes returning. That said, I would still think that the pressure plate should have plenty of force to return fluid through a 1/16" orifice.
If you go to replace everything, I'd say go monster S1 or similar. The stock master may have issues with that, so don't be surprised if after you change your clutch, your master doesn't act right. If you want to stay mostly stock, I hear the best reviews with Luk.
Also, do yourself a favor and get the remote bleeder from tick performance.
