Default help finding short!!!

I have a 2002 ws6 trans am. I can drive it one night. and next day the battery is dead. tested the battery with a load tester, checks good. alternator charges good. no loose connections. before I go further. everything on the car functions as it should. all body and lighting stock jvc radio and mtx amp work as they should. does have STS turbo kit. sometimes I can leave the car for a week without driving and its fine. comes and goes!

that is what is making it so hard to find. I did track it down to the power accessory fuse/ circuit. I can pull it out and come back a week later and its good. I was thinking maybe a relay is stuck on. the owners manual says there is a parking lamp relay, and hatch relay on that circuit. but I believe those are in the DRL module behind the radio?

Default Ground

Had this problem on a car recently. If the battery is good and the alt puts out fine, disconnect the big terminal on the alt and check the terminal on the alt ohms to ground, if it is 0 the the rectifier is bad in the alt. That's where your voltage goes at night.

Check the grounds on the back of the cylinder heads. There should be one on each head.

thanks guys. I hadn't thought of checking the grounds on back of heads. I wasn't the one that put the heads on the car. a good friend of mine did. and he gives up easy lol.
