Tps Learned a lesson today when replacing my TPS. Went thru 2 duralast parts because car not idle right. Replaced with AC Delco part and car runs great! Lesson learned.
The fact is: all PCMs are not created equal. Some PCMs just do not like certain parts and will not accept them. Example: My PCM will not allow my engine to run with Bosch 02 sensors, the engine will barely stay running. Pop in some Densos and its perfect.
I have been running for about 10 years on a PepBoys TPS, whatever brand they use. Ran perfect in my 427ci and now that same sensor is in my new 390ci.
PCM's all have minds of their own.
