Firebird wont startup
So my 99 Firehawk refuses to startup. Put in a new fuel pump, checked all grounds, and made sure fuel was at the fuel rail with pressure. Engine turns over but non start.
Replaced plugs and checked ignition system.
Really stumped here. Any suggestions?
Thanks!

Hi, having fuel at the rail doesn't necessarily mean you have good fuel pressure, you must check it with a good gauge and make sure it's in OEM specs, make sure your fuel pump grn. is clean and tight. Take a fuel sample in a good clean jar, look for any contaminates and let it sit a while in to see if any water settles to the bottom. Check for spark with a spark tester, they look like a spark plug with a alligator clip ( you can get one at any auto store cheap) on it to fasten to grd. and check while cranking, if it jumps the gap your spark is OK. You didn't mention the CEL or if you had any codes.Good luck and hope this helps.

Car cranks and what's odd is it cranks without the clutch depressed? Engine is turning and fuel is there.
What would cause that? Clutch switch?
